queer as hell, fat as fuck
Born + raised in Wisconsin, with a heart full of wonder and a deep love for Stevie Nicks, the Loch Ness monster, and the magic of mid-afternoon naps. On any given day, you can find me: curled up with my wife as we watch Real Housewives, doting over our three sweet dogs, listening to podcasts, and/or eating snacks.
My work as a photographer is deeply influenced by the beloved queer poet Mary Oliver, whose words are an anthem for noticing the beauty in the ordinary. In her poem Mindful, she writes:
"Every day I see or hear something that more or less kills me with delight, that leaves me like a needle in the haystack of light. It was what I was born for — to look, to listen, to lose myself inside this soft world — to instruct myself over and over in joy, and acclamation."
This philosophy guides me every time I pick up my camera. I am always seeking to notice your moments of joy, connection, and truth and to collect them as if my life depends on it. My goal is to capture the soft, sacred, and celebratory moments that define your story.
LGBTQ+ centered, fat positive, liberation-minded.
I prioritize creating a validating, welcoming environment where my clients feel safe + comfortable.
Working towards equitable representation in all that I do.
Committed to making photography physically + financially accessible.
I honor the land I’m creating on, acknowledging that it is unceded territory stolen from the Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Mohican, Oneida, and Chippewa Nations. These nations have cared for this land for generations, and I stand in solidarity with Land Back.
