Jack + Jenny // LGBTQ+ Micro Wedding on Minnesota's North Shore

HOWDY!

IT’S WEDDING SEASON, Y’ALL! I’m so overjoyed to be back to spending my weekends celebrating incredible couples. First on the calendar this year were Jenny + Jack, who tied the knot in a tiny micro wedding just outside of Duluth.

We began their day at a gorgeous Airbnb just seconds from the shore, with their sweet chosen family sharing kind words + stories before the evening’s nuptials. After getting ready separately, the Jenny + Jack had a first look in front of Lake Superior. We ran around the stony coastline, snapping photos in the chilly spring air, and I cannot begin to tell you how absolutely tender and lovely these two are together. Bearing witness to such pure, queer joy was everything my heart needed - and more. As the evening grew darker, their whole crew walked out through the woods with glittering lanterns and took their place alongside the shore. Jack + Jenny shared their heartfelt, hilarious vows under the stars before everyone made their way back to the Airbnb for laughter + pie.

These simple, slow wedding days are truly my favorite. Jenny + Jack put so much thought and intention into each moment, and it could be felt by everyone in the room. With this month marking ten years of wedding photography, I’m continually honored + humbled to work with such beautiful folks on such beautiful days. I can’t wait to see what else this year holds!
